INTENTION

To create an organisation of building trades people and businesses that has a common goal of providing exceptional service with integrity and professionalism and to create a positive environment for the training and development of our trainees and apprentices.

VISION

To have 50 businesses registered with Building Men by the end of 2009 and for this group to attend monthly meetings for training and development within their businesses.  The members will have a common code of ethics and guidelines by which they operate.  Members are encouraged to take on apprentices and are able to give them a wider range of experience through the an apprentice sharing program with other employers.  Each member will provide work experience to students on a regular basis; the students will have the opportunity to work with tradesmen that uphold the highest of standards and work with integrity and professionalism.  The members of Building Trades People will benefit from the collective knowledge of the others in the group; they will also be recognised in the community for their contribution and dedication to quality and training within the industry.  The members of the group will contribute to the constant improvement of Building Trades People.
